Remember those X10 ads? The stupid ads that'd popup and annoy you and taunt you because you weren't spying on women in a gym locker or something? Well one day, in a fit of anger, I went to the X10 site and got the contact email address and emailed the sons of bitches about their fucked up ad campaign and how much I hated it.
The webmaster wrote back, telling me he understood my frustration and that they were rolling out a new service whereby a user could cookie themselves and never see an ad again. He was very nice about it and seemed to be uncomfortable with the fact that the ads were so offensive. At the end of the letter he also mentioned he was user 151 on FilePile and was very active on the site and thanked me for creating it.
Doh.
